I am in need of a farm assistant to work with my team milking 600 Jersey cows near Otorohanga.
We milk through a 44 aside herringbone cowshed with 20 sets of automatic cup removers and meal feeders.
Roster of 11 days on, 3 days off.
Applicant will need a basic ability to drive motorbikes and 4 wheelers with and without a trailer, ideally experience milking cows or at least being a quick visual and kinesthetic learner.

We have a pretty good team, the farm is hilly but manageable. Milkings are fast-paced and becoming more and more efficient as we all get used to the routine.
Accommodation provided is a single room unit with a reasonable size living space and the ability to separate the sleeping area. Heat pump, kitchen space. Adjoining bathroom and laundry, and a carport. Accommodation valued at $200 per week.
