Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities is seeking an Advisor Wellbeing Support – Family Violence to provide specialist guidance to customer-facing teams, helping them respond safely to whānau affected by family violence. You’ll coordinate Canterbury ISR involvement, build capability across Christchurch offices, and connect people with specialist support while promoting coordinated responses.

You’ll focus on advisory training and capability building, maintain professional boundaries, and escalate

Competenze

• Three years minimum experience in the family violence sector.
• Current NZ driver’s licence required for regular travel across Christchurch.
• Strong knowledge of family violence dynamics, risk indicators and patterns of harm.
• Understanding of trauma and its impact on children and young people.
• Experience providing specialist advice in complex situations.
• Knowledge of statutory, NGO and community-based family violence services.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in interagency environments.
• Excellent relationship-building, influencing and networking skills.
• Strong coaching and training capability.
• Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information with professionalism and empathy.

Mansioni

• Provide specialist advice to frontline teams on family violence responses.
• Coordinate Kāinga Ora’s involvement in the Canterbury Integrated Safety Response (ISR).
• Develop strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, including government agencies, NGOs and community organisations.
• Help connect customers and whānau with appropriate specialist support while promoting coordinated responses.
