Job summary

Whakarongorau Aotearoa is seeking a Family & Sexual Harm Advisor to provide safe, person-centred support within a dynamic 24/7 service. The role requires risk assessments and connecting people with needed services, with flexibility to work 0.6, 0.8, or 1 FTE and availability for overnight and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with family and sexual harm dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-informed support to tāngata whai ora and whānau affected by family and sexual harm.
• Conduct assessments, identify risk factors, and support the development of safety and support plans.
• Use counselling skills to respond effectively to complex situations.
• Coach and support other advisors to strengthen service delivery.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support services.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure service delivery meets standards.
