Job summary

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is seeking an engaging and proactive communications professional to join our Operations Support team as a Faculty Communications Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager – Operations Support, you will deliver communications, engagement initiatives and events that support the Faculty's strategic priorities and strengthen connections across our diverse community.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field.
• At least two years' experience in communications, public relations, corporate communications or internal communications.
• Demonstrated experience creating content for websites, intranet platforms and social media channels.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading and storytelling skills.
• Experience developing and delivering communication plans and supporting events.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write and publish content across newsletters, websites, intranet channels, email and social media.
• Coordinate Faculty communications, including leadership updates and key organisational messaging.
• Manage Faculty communications and content calendars.
• Support the planning and delivery of Faculty events, including promotion and post-event communications.
• Manage Faculty social media channels and identify opportunities to showcase research, achievements and success stories.
• Build effective relationships across the Faculty and with AUT's Brand, Marketing and Communications teams.
