Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking a Facilities and Services Manager to lead the facilities team in the Faculty of Engineering and Design, overseeing functional spaces and coordinating with Campus Environment to ensure maintenance, safety and sustainability.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a salary between NZD 87,000 and 107,500 per annum, plus benefits including flexible working, enhanced superannuation, and five weeks of annual leave.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in operational or facilities roles leading a small team.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining health & safety compliance.
• Experience with reporting, administration and information systems.
• Strong skills in team building, change management and working with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the Facilities team.
• Implement operational plans for Facilities and Services.
• Coordinate and manage Minor Capital Works projects for the faculty.
• Liaise with Property Services for Space Planning.
• Develop and maintain relationships with other Facilities and Services Managers and departments.
• Manage and monitor service delivery of Facilities and Services activities.
