Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial cleaning and waste recycling contracts across multiple client sites in the Nelson/Tasman region. This hands-on role works with the Operations Manager and manages several employees, client relationships, H&S, premises oversight and contract performance.

Key priorities include building strong relationships with clients and staff, reporting KPIs accurately, and driving improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, with training provided on company ethics and operations
• Ability to report KPIs and implement improvements
• Willingness to travel between sites and work evenings/weekends as required

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of commercial cleaning across multiple contract sites
• Maintain client relationships through regular communication and site visits
• Ensure each contract meets service levels, specs and performance targets
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits, with corrective actions as needed
• Ensure compliance with H&S and environmental requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, quality and waste reduction
• Prepare monthly reports on H&S, performance, staffing and sustainability
• Support contract renewals and pursue new opportunities
• Respond professionally to operational issues, including after-hours matters
