Job summary

Ibis Wellington, part of Accor, is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead the restaurant and bar team during shifts. You will ensure smooth service, guest satisfaction and seamless collaboration with other departments.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will onboard and develop staff, manage a rotating 7-day roster (AM/PM shifts from 6am or 3pm) and drive sales through excellent service and product knowledge. NZ citizen or valid work visa required.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service
• Supervisory experience in a similar role
• Proven experience in leading and motivating a team
• Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external customers
• Problem solving and composure under pressure
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Flexible with rotating 7-day roster; early and late shifts
• DM Certificate or LCQ certificate preferred
• First aid certificate is favourable

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the smooth operation of the Food & Beverage department
• Creating a seamless dining experience for guests and ensuring welcome
• Communicate across departments
• Ensure team is confident in selling menu items and hotel services
• Supervise on-duty team to ensure duties are completed and guest experience is optimal
• Guide and train the team in policy, procedures and product knowledge
• Develop sales approach and drive business
