Job summary

Recruitment Studio in Auckland, North Island, is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Export Operations Specialist for an immediate-start, 4-month contract with potential extension. Candidates should have 2–3 years in export coordination or international logistics, fluent Mandarin and English, strong Excel and reporting skills, and a track record of keeping

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer orders end-to-end from receipt to shipment and documentation closure.
• Communicate with customers across China and other Asian markets.
• Translate Mandarin communications and export docs into clear English for internal teams.
• Prepare and manage export documents, MPI paperwork, invoices and packing slips.
• Serve as the operational link across Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, QA and Logistics.
• Maintain trackers and provide visibility on shipment readiness, risks and timelines.

Export Operations Specialist Opportunity

Are you fluent in Mandarin and English, with a background in export coordination or international logistics? Do you thrive being the person who keeps a moving operation on track — chasing documents, coordinating stakeholders, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks?

We’re recruiting for a well-established New Zealand health and wellness company that’s scaling its cross-border e-commerce (CBEC) presence across China and other Asian markets. As they head into a critical Q3/Q4 growth period — with multiple major China projects, new market launches, and CIIE preparation all running concurrently — they need an experienced operator to become the central point of coordination between their overseas customers and internal teams. There are exciting times ahead!

Role

• Coordinating customer orders end-to‑end, from order receipt through to shipment and documentation closure
• Communicating directly with customers across China and other Asian markets
• Translating Mandarin customer communications and export documents into clear, actionable English for internal teams
• Preparing and managing export and MPI documentation, invoices, packing slips and more
• Acting as the operational glue across Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, QA, Manufacturing, Warehouse and Logistics
• Maintaining project trackers and providing visibility on shipment readiness, risks and timelines

You

• Fluent Mandarin and English — this is essential, not preferred
• 2-3 years’ experience in export coordination, customer operations, sales operations, or international logistics
• Practical understanding of export documentation and international order fulfilment
• Strong Excel, reporting and administrative skills, with sharp attention to detail
• Experience in FMCG, health supplements or consumer healthcare is a bonus not essential
• The ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders
• Convenient locations of either Airport or Parnell offices
• Strong potential to go beyond the 4 months
