Job summary

Positive Electrical & Solar is seeking an experienced Solar Technician in Whangarei. The role involves hands-on installation, commissioning and problem-solving as the solar division expands.

The successful candidate will have proven solar experience, familiarity with grid-tied and hybrid systems, and the ability to lead or support a team. A full driver’s licence and electrical registration are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven solar industry experience
• Experience with grid-tied and hybrid systems (Off Grid Systems a bonus)
• Solar, inverter and battery installation & commissioning experience
• Residential and/or commercial experience
• Ability to work independently and lead/support a team
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Full driver's licence
• Electrical registration/qualification is highly desirable

Positive Electrical & Solar is a growing Northland electrical business with over 30 years of experience and an expanding solar division.

We're looking for an experienced Solar Technician to join our team.

This is a hands-on role with a mix of installation, commissioning, problem-solving and management responsibilities as our solar division continues to grow.

What we're looking for:
