Job summary

Jora New Zealand in Christchurch is seeking an experienced Solar Design & Installation Manager to lead our expanding solar division. You will design high-quality solar solutions, oversee installations, and build a high-performing team.

The role requires NZ Electrical Registration with Solar Endorsement, familiarity with Pylon or similar software, and strong CRM and project management skills. You will train staff and collaborate with management to grow the business.

Qualifications

• Relevant NZ electrical registration with solar endorsement is required.

With our solar division growing rapidly, we're looking for an experienced Solar Design & Installation Manager to help take it to the next level.

We're looking for someone who can lead from the front - designing quality solar solutions, leading installations, and developing a high-performing team as our solar business continues to expand.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Provide exceptional customer service from consultation through to installation.
• Prepare & present proposals using Pylon quoting software.
• Train and mentor team members as our solar division continues to grow.
• Working closely with management to grow and improve our solar division.
• Working alongside our Electrical & HVAC teams
• Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong knowledge of solar system design and installation.
• A current NZ Electrical Registration and Practising License with a Solar Endorsement
• Experience with Pylon or similar solar design software is preferred.
• Tech-savvy and confident using CRM systems, solar quoting and design software, and job management platforms.
• The ability to train, mentor, and develop others.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
• A current New Zealand driver's licence.
