Job summary

Solar Construct Limited is seeking a hands-on Electrician to take ownership of electrical work on solar projects and grow into site supervision across North Island sites.

You'll undergo funded training to obtain the EWRB endorsement, travel for projects when required, and have a clear pathway to leading site teams as the company expands.

Qualifications

• Current EWRB registration as an Electrician with practising licence.
• Legally entitled to work in NZ and hold a full NZ driver’s licence.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required; travel, flights and accommodation covered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform electrical work on ground-mount and rooftop solar installations.
• Work with the mechanical installation crew, ensuring safety and standards.
• Contribute across the full build from site setup and piling to panel install and electrical commissioning.
• Travel to project sites across the North Island as needed.

Electrician - Step Into Solar and Site Supervision

Join a fast-growing solar specialist. Hands-on electrician role with site supervision growth, no solar experience required, full training provided.

About the role

Solarconstruct is a specialist solar delivery partner, building ground-mount and rooftop commercial solar across the North Island. We're growing, and we're looking for a registered electrician ready to take ownership of the electrical side of our builds, overseeing and carrying out electrical work across our projects, with a genuine path to leading our site teams as we scale.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing and carrying out electrical work on ground-mount and rooftop solar installations
• Working alongside our mechanical installation crew, ensuring work is done safely and to standard
• Getting hands-on across the full build, from set-up, piling and construction through to panel install and electrical commissioning
• Travelling to project sites across the North Island as needed
• Growing into leading a larger site team as the company grows

What we need from you

• Current EWRB registration as an Electrician, with a practising licence
• Legally entitled to work in NZ
• Full NZ driver's licence
• A genuinely good attitude, and comfort working autonomously across a variety of tasks
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when a project needs it - travel, flights, accommodation and an away-from-home allowance are covered on top of your hourly rate

Nice to have (not essential)

• Solar experience, EWRB Mains Parallel Generation Systems endorsement already held. If you don't have the solar endorsement yet, we'll fund the training to get you there.
