Placements24 seeks an accomplished Operations Director to oversee all production and operational activities at its Queenstown facility. This senior role requires strategic thinking with deep expertise in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and quality control.

You will optimize production processes, allocate resources efficiently, uphold safety standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost performance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations management, with at least 5 years in a director-level role.
• Proven experience in manufacturing with knowledge of production processes and technologies.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in production planning software, ERP systems, and operational analytics tools.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Queenstown, Eastern Cape.

• Lead and manage all aspects of the manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Oversee supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems.
• Manage and mentor a team of production supervisors and operational staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Implement and champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Monitor operational performance through key metrics and data analysis, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Manage operational budgets and capital expenditure planning for the facility.
• Collaborate with other departments, including sales, engineering, and R&D, to meet business objectives.
