Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Warehouse Operations Manager to lead a busy facility in Queenstown. You will oversee daily activities, drive efficiency, and manage staff while ensuring safety and compliance.

A strong background in WMS, inventory control, and process improvements is essential. You will be responsible for optimizing layout, implementing best practices, and collaborating with suppliers and logistics partners to meet service levels and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse management or a similar senior operations role.
• Proven experience in leading and managing large teams in a warehouse environment.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management systems (WMS), and logistics principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing goods.
• Develop, implement, and monitor warehouse operational strategies to meet company objectives and service level agreements.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, fostering a productive and safety-conscious work environment.
• Oversee inventory control procedures, including cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and loss prevention.
• Ensure the optimal utilization of warehouse space and resources.
• Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and security protocols within the warehouse.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and suppliers as required.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Manage the warehouse budget, controlling operational costs and identifying areas for cost savings.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
