Job summary

Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Te Rangi seeks an Executive Assistant to support the Deputy Chief Executive. This role ensures the DCE’s calendar, correspondence, and meeting prep are flawlessly managed, while triaging queries and coordinating HR tasks across contracts, onboarding, and offboarding.

You will support events, AGM logistics, registry work, and policy renewals, acting as the trusted first interface for staff, whānau, and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a senior leader or executive.
  • Ability to triage and manage multiple priorities with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the DCE's calendar, correspondence, and meeting preparation.
  • Triaging queries and knowing what can wait and what can't.
  • HR administration — contracts, onboarding, offboarding, recruitment coordination.
  • Event and AGM support, including logistics and documentation.
  • Supporting the tribal registry and policy renewal schedule.
  • Being the first interface for the DCE's office — with staff, whānau, and external partners.
