Job summary

The University of Auckland, New Zealand’s leading university, seeks an experienced Assessment Services Manager for Student and Scholarly Services. You will lead exam and assessment operations, driving innovation and equity while managing a high-performing team in a complex environment.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to support learning priorities, manage risk and continuity, and deliver exceptional service outcomes for tauira and staff.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within a large, complex organisation.
• Experience leading high-volume operational services.
• Experience leading service, systems and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the University’s centrally managed exam and assessment services.
• Provide strategic leadership for assessment operations, systems and technologies, including the digital assessment platform.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
• Partner with senior academic and professional leaders to support learning and teaching priorities.
• Drive assessment transformation initiatives, service enhancements and operational excellence.
• Manage strategic projects, risk planning and business continuity across the portfolio.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance assessment practices and services.
