Job summary

Colab Projects is seeking a reliable, practical person to join the crew in an Event Operations Support role. You’ll be right in the mix, learning how we deliver projects from the warehouse to the workshop and onsite at events.

This is an entry level role with opportunities to learn across warehouse, workshop, print & signage, logistics and event delivery, while building skills and responsibility along the way. NZ residency or citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• You don’t need loads of experience but a practical, hands-on approach helps.
• Able to take direction and apply feedback quickly.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Strong organisational skills and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
• A safety-first mindset and attention to detail.
• Open to learning new tasks and trying different roles.

Responsibilities

• Support across warehouse, workshop, print & signage, logistics and event delivery.
• Assist with loading/unloading vehicles, stock checks and stocktakes.
• Help with pre-builds, basic fabrication and producing projects for install.
• Pack in/out events and assist with graphic application and site readiness.
• Learn from project managers and experienced crew as you develop onsite skills.

We’re looking for a reliable, switched on, practical personto join the Colab Projects crew in an Event Operations Support role.

This is an entry level role, but it’s not a sit on the sidelines kind of job. You’ll be right in the mix, learning how we deliver projects from the warehouse to the workshop and onsite at events.

You’ll work across warehouse, workshop, print & signage, logistics and event delivery. As you get good at one area, we’ll teach you the next - building your skills, confidence and responsibility along the way.

What You’ll Be Doing

It’s a varied role, and you’ll support wherever the team needs you.

Warehouse & Logistics

• Pick and pack jobs using pack sheets

• Load and unload vehicles

• Help with deliveries and collections

• Check, maintain and organise equipment and stock

• Assist with stocktakes

• Keep the warehouse and workshop clean and ready to go

Workshop & Production

• Help with pre builds and assembly

• Learn basic fabrication and workshop skills

• Help get projects ready for install

• Support Project Managers and the wider team

Events & Onsite

• Pack in and pack out events

• Assist with graphic application and installation

• Prepare and load jobs for site

• Work alongside experienced crew and build your onsite skills

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need loads of experience. We’re more interested in how you approach things.

The Reality

Our standard hours are 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday. When we’re delivering events, the hours change - early starts, late finishes, overtime and weekend work are part of the gig.

If you’re looking for a quiet 9-5, this probably isn’t it.

If you want variety, momentum, hands-on work and a crew that has each other’s backs, you’ll fit right in.
