Job summary

UniLodge Canterbury is seeking a North Island Night Coordinator to join the team in Christchurch. This entry-level night role supports after-hours operations across University Hall, Ilam Apartments and Dovedale Halls, based primarily at University Hall with travel between sites as needed.

You will provide a calm, approachable presence during evenings and overnight hours, assist residents, perform property checks and help ensure a safe community.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, security, hospitality or community support.
• Ability to respond calmly to unexpected situations.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow procedures.
• Full, clean NZ driver license.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with after-hours operations.
• Be an approachable contact for residents in evenings.
• Respond to inquiries, lockouts and noise concerns.
• Document incidents and calls accurately.
• Travel between halls for incidents and checks.
• Assist with check-ins and reception tasks.
• Participate in emergency responses during rostered hours.
