Job summary

Andrew Simms BYD North Shore is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to guide customers from drop-off to pickup, ensuring professional service and effective communication with the workshop team. You will build strong customer relationships, identify needs, and manage bookings and estimates to deliver a seamless service experience.

Ideal candidates bring automotive service advisory experience, outstanding customer service, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor within the automotive industry.
• Outstanding customer service skills and a genuine passion for looking after customers.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• The ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in administration.
• A positive, professional attitude and solution focused approach.
• Experience using dealership management systems and digital tools such as Super Service Triage, would be advantageous.
• A full New Zealand driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• As a Service Advisor, manage the customer journey from vehicle drop-off through to collection.
• Build strong relationships with customers and identify their needs, communicating with workshop teams and keeping customers informed.
• Coordinate bookings, prepare estimates, manage repair authorisations, and ensure high standards of work and a seamless customer experience.
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
