Job summary

Z Energy NZ seeks a Business Development Manager to grow its EV charging public network across Aotearoa. The role focuses on sourcing, negotiating and securing commercial agreements for EV charging infrastructure.

You will operate autonomously in an emerging market, building relationships with developers, retailers and stakeholders while shaping strategies to expand market share in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in commercial or industrial property leasing or business development within eMobility or the energy sector.
• Demonstrated success in a sales environment from sourcing and pitching to negotiation and closing.
• Knowledge of commercial leasing arrangements, property law and the energy sector is advantageous.
• Interest in EVs, sustainable solutions or a low carbon future.
• Self-motivated to work in an autonomous role and able to communicate across levels.

Responsibilities

• Originate, negotiate and execute commercial agreements and leases for EV Charging Infrastructure.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, retailers and other stakeholders.
• Identify new customer prospects and develop strategies to engage and convert them into customers.
• Provide market advice and assist with sales strategies.
• Develop and implement actionable plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Work closely with marketing, product development, commercial sales and operational teams to align strategies and tactics and secure deals.
