Job summary

Sharp & Page Ltd in Avondale, New Zealand, is seeking a dedicated Estimator to join our cabinetmaking team. The role focuses on commercial projects with some residential work, handling tender documentation, reading drawings, and preparing comprehensive quotes.

Qualifications

We are an Avondale based cabinetmaking Company looking for an Estimator to join our team.

While this role is largely for commercial projects there may also be some residential, to meet customer specific requirements

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Downloading and preparing tender documentation
• Managing tender portals
• Reading and understanding documents and drawings to form a full scope of works
• Display high attention to detail and accuracy
• Have strong numeracy skills
• The ability to prepare and submit comprehensive quotes and variations while managing all supporting documentation
• Successfully progress projects from quote acceptance to completion
• Be computer literate to an intermediate level in MS Office applications and be confident to learn new software systems quickly
• Ability to measure accurately
• Be able to work both autonomously and as part of team to meet deadlines
• Ability to identify potential problems and liaise with parties involved to agree on appropriate solutions
• Focus on developing strong working relationships with clients, contractors and staff
• Proficient with time management with a sense of urgency in delivering your work
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent command of English language
• Insight of the industry and manufacturing techniques would be an advantage
• While experience and/or qualifications would be an advantage we are willing to train the right person
• The person we are looking for will be self-motivated with a positive attitude, who takes ownership of the role and responsibility for the results

This is a full time position offering remuneration based on experience
