Job summary

Presbyterian Support East Coast is seeking dedicated Part-time Support Workers for Enliven Intensive Home Support in Hawke's Bay. You will assist clients at home, helping with daily tasks, personal care and medication oversight.

Training is provided, and you’ll work across Napier and Taradale with guaranteed hours and a supportive team. No prior experience is required, and applicants must reside in New Zealand with the right to work.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training provided.
• Must reside in New Zealand and have right to work.
• Driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Help with domestic duties, shopping, meal preparation and housework.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Medication oversight/assistance.
• Carry out client’s cares as outlined by their Support Plan.

We currently have permanent part-time positions available for support workers in Napier, Taradale.

About the Role

In this role no two days will be the same.

You will work alongside clients with different support needs, providing them with the assistance they require to live independently in their own homes.

The types of support you will provide include:

• Helping with domestic duties, shopping, meal preparation and housework
• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Personal care, including showering and dressing
• Medication oversight/assistance
• Carrying out client’s cares as outlined by their individual Support Plan

To be successful in this role

• You need to have a genuine caring nature - no previous carer support experience is required.
• You need to be able to work rostered shifts - split between early mornings and/or evenings and weekends (Mon - Sun).
• You need to have a good grasp of the English language and ability to effectively communicate with clients.
• You will have a full or restricted driver’s licence and a reliable insured vehicle.
• You need to already reside in New Zealand and have full rights to work.
