Job summary

Presbyterian Support Northern is seeking an Enliven Support Worker to visit clients in their homes, providing personal care, medication support, meal preparation, and help with community activities.

You will follow care plans, accommodate flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and demonstrate compassion, reliability, and clear English to communicate with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • A full New Zealand driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle

  • Compassion for the elderly, disabled and those in recovery
  • Confident visiting clients in their homes and providing care and support

Responsibilities

  • Visit clients in their homes to provide personal care (showering, dressing)
  • Assist with daily tasks, meal preparation and home help
  • Provide medication support as directed and with care
  • Support clients to participate in community activities per care plan

Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity

As an EnlivenSupport Worker, you will visit clients (elderly, disabled, individuals in recovery)in their homes to help them with a range ofpersonal cares (showering, dressing), issuing medication,meal preparation, home help, and assistance withcommunity activities. The care and support required will depend on the specific needs of the client. You will keep up to date with and deliver support in line with the agreed care plan.


Various hours are available across the week and weekends.

  • A New Zealand resident, citizen or have an eligible workvisa

  • A full New Zealand driver's licence and a reliable vehicle that you are prepared to drive to and between clients (We can not accept International drivers licences)

  • Can accommodate flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

  • Clear English language skills - able to read English instructions and plans and speak clearly in English to clients and colleagues

  • Strong customer service skills - are good at interacting with a wide range of people and enjoy helping people

  • High-quality standards and ability to adhere to professional standards, policiesand practices

  • Compassion for the elderly, disabled and those in recovery

  • Confident to visit a range of clients in their homes and provide them with a range of care and support
