Job summary

Presbyterian Support Northern is seeking an Enliven Support Worker to visit clients in their homes across Auckland. You will assist with personal care, medication, meal preparation, home support and community activities, following each client’s care plan. Flexible hours include evenings and weekends.

This fixed-term role runs until February 2027, offering diverse opportunities to support elders, disabled individuals, and those in recovery in a compassionate, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • NZ resident, citizen or have an eligible work visa (permanent resident or visa eligibility)
  • Full New Zealand driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel between clients
  • Flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Clear English skills to read instructions/plans and communicate with clients and colleagues
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with diverse people
  • High-quality standards and ability to adhere to professional policies and practices
  • Compassion for the elderly, disabled and those in recovery
  • Willingness to visit clients in their homes to provide care and support

Responsibilities

  • Visit clients in their homes to provide personal care and support (showering, dressing)
  • Issue medications and assist with meal preparation
  • Provide home help and assist with community activities
  • Deliver care in line with each client’s care plan and keep plans up to date

Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity

As an EnlivenSupport Worker, you will visit clients (elderly, disabled, individuals in recovery)in their homes to help them with a range ofpersonal cares (showering, dressing), issuing medication,meal preparation, home help, and assistance withcommunity activities. The care and support required will depend on the specific needs of the client. You will keep up to date with and deliver support in line with the agreed care plan.

Various hours are available across the week and weekends.

Please note this vacancy is for Fixed term until end of February 2027.

  • A New Zealand resident, citizen or have an eligible workvisa

  • A full New Zealand driver's licence and a reliable vehicle that you are prepared to drive to and between clients (We can not accept International drivers licences)

  • Can accommodate flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

  • Clear English language skills - able to read English instructions and plans and speak clearly in English to clients and colleagues

  • Strong customer service skills - are good at interacting with a wide range of people and enjoy helping people

  • High-quality standards and ability to adhere to professional standards, policiesand practices

  • Compassion for the elderly, disabled and those in recovery

  • Confident to visit a range of clients in their homes and provide them with a range of care and support
