Job summary

Freyberg High School in New Zealand seeks a permanent, full-time Teacher of Engineering to deliver engaging programmes starting Term 1, 2027. You will foster a practical learning environment that helps students design, investigate and create, applying engineering concepts to real-world challenges.

You will lead project-based activities, maintain health and safety in the workshop, assess student progress, and support pathways in STEM and trades.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with NZ registration.
• Strong knowledge of Engineering and/or Technology curriculum.
• Ability to design hands-on, project-based learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Engineering and Technology programmes.
• Plan and implement practical, project-based learning experiences.
• Support students to develop design, problem-solving and engineering skills.
• Assess and monitor progress, provide constructive feedback.
• Deliver programmes aligned with NCEA standards.
