Job summary

Contact Energy is seeking an Engineering Manager for the BESS 2 project to lead technical delivery from design through operation. You will head a multidisciplinary team of engineers, consultants and partners, guiding design contracts, specifications, procurement and grid connection to ensure a robust lifecycle outcome for Contact.

You will coordinate with senior leaders, manage interfaces, uphold safety and regulatory standards, and navigate engineering, commercial and schedule decisions to keep

Qualifications

Engineering leadership experience delivering complex projects.
Significant engineering experience within power/heavy industry.
Strong ability to lead across design, procurement and construction phases.
Proven ability to work with regulators and ensure safety/compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering decisions and provide clear direction to the team.
Manage interfaces between consultants, vendors and project stakeholders.
Oversee technical quality and assurance across the lifecycle.
Help shape operation and maintenance thinking for new assets.
