Job summary
Worley in New Zealand invites applications for an EC&I Discipline Manager to lead and grow our Electrical, Control & Instrumentation capability across the country. Based in Auckland or New Plymouth, you will provide strategic direction and people leadership while guiding successful project delivery.
You will mentor engineers, set technical standards, and work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, safe, and cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
- Experience leading Electrical/Control & Instrumentation teams in relevant sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a NZ-wide EC&I engineering team.
- Provide technical leadership and governance across projects.
- Support resource planning, capability development and recruitment.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality, safety, regulatory and customer requirements.
- Drive engineering standards and technical excellence across the discipline.
- Support project delivery through design reviews and problem solving.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for customer solutions.
- Contribute to business development and customer engagement.
- Build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Champion safety culture and sustainable engineering.
