Job summary

Bunzl is seeking a proactive payroll professional to manage the New Zealand payroll function with exposure to Australian payroll. This role will ensure end-to-end processing, accuracy, and compliance while maintaining payroll records and supporting audits.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external agencies, including IRD, to ensure on-time processing and compliance across NZ and Australia. Based in Auckland or Melbourne, the role offers regional responsibility within APAC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in end-to-end New Zealand payroll processing with Australian payroll exposure.
• Experience with Chris21/iChris payroll systems preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; excellent stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end NZ and Australian payrolls, including timesheet imports.
• Maintain accurate records for all post-payroll activities.
• Ensure salaries and related payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Respond to payroll enquiries with timely, professional communication.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support ad hoc Australian payroll activities as required.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and company policies.
