Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Electrician for a Tauranga-based project and wider Tauranga area. Immediate start and varied project work offer opportunities to apply electrical skills within a dynamic team.

The role requires NZ electrical registration/licensing, current practising licence, and proven electrician experience. You will perform installation, testing and maintenance while adhering to safety standards and MOJ checks when applicable.

Qualifications

• NZ electrical registration/licensing and current practising licence are required.
• Proven experience working as an Electrician.
• Ability to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.
• Ability to meet MOJ checking requirements.
• Strong commitment to safe, compliant and high-quality electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Installing wiring, lighting, circuit breakers and electrical panels in line with plans and safety requirements.
• Troubleshooting and testing electrical systems to diagnose faults.
• Repairing and replacing damaged wiring, fixtures and faulty electrical equipment.
• Carrying out maintenance and inspections on transformers, switchboards and other electrical components.
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant New Zealand electrical regulations and safety standards.

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $38–$44 per hour PAYE

What you'll be doing
