Stellar Recruitment is partnering with a well-established electrical contractor delivering large-scale commercial construction projects across the Bay of Plenty. Tauranga-based role for two Electrical Trade Assistants on a fixed-term contract starting 2 November 2026.

The role focuses on installing cable tray, ladder, supports, and containment systems, supporting electricians on site and ensuring safety and reliability on a major project.

Qualifications

• Experience installing cable tray, ladder or support systems on commercial construction sites.
• Experience assisting electricians on commercial construction projects.
• Site Safe (or willingness to obtain) and a strong focus on health and safety.

Pay: $27-$31/hr + 8% Holiday Pay

Contract Type: Fixed-Term

About The Role

Stellar Recruitment is partnering with a well-established electrical contractor delivering large-scale commercial construction projects across the Bay of Plenty.

We are seeking two Electrical Trade Assistants to join the team from 2nd November 2026 on a fixed-term contract. This role will primarily focus on the installation of cable tray, cable ladder, supports, and containment systems, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy commercial project work and want to further develop their electrical experience.

You’ll be working alongside experienced electricians in a safety-focused environment, contributing to a significant commercial construction project while building valuable industry experience.

About You

We're looking for people who are reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working within a commercial construction environment.

Ideally, You'll Have

• Previous experience installing cable tray, cable ladder, or support systems
• Experience assisting electricians on commercial construction projects
• A Limited Electrical Licence (highly advantageous)
• Site Safe (or willingness to obtain)
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
• Reliable transport and the ability to get to site each day
• Valid New Zealand working rights
• Able to pass a D&A testOwn set of tools
