Job summary

INTEC Energy Solutions in Christchurch is seeking an Electrical Procurement Specialist to join our Christchurch team. You will lead procurement for electrical materials, equipment and installation across tenders and projects, guiding pricing strategies from early tender phase through construction.

You bring 3-5+ years in electrical estimating, procurement or commercial delivery, with deep knowledge of LV/MV/HV materials and experience pricing for large-scale infrastructure or renewables.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of LV/MV/HV materials and installation methodologies

As our project pipeline continues to grow across New Zealand and Australia, we are expanding our electrical procurement capability and are looking for an experienced Electrical Procurement Specialist to join our Christchurch team.

This is an opportunity for an electrical procurement or estimating professional who understands how major electrical infrastructure is priced, tendered and delivered.

You will play a key role from the early tender phase through to construction, helping INTEC secure competitive pricing, develop procurement strategies and deliver value across major renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do

• Support tendering and estimating by developing, validating and benchmarking pricing for electrical materials, equipment and installation works.
• Prepare and manage RFQs and tender packages covering LV/MV/HV equipment, switchgear, transformers and electrical installation.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor tenders against technical, commercial and project requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and delivery requirements to secure best-value outcomes.
• Work closely with Engineering, Commercial, Construction and Project teams to develop procurement strategies, manage costs and support successful project delivery.

What you'll bring

• 3-5+ years' experience in electrical estimating, tendering, procurement or commercial delivery, ideally within major infrastructure, electrical contracting or EPC environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical materials, equipment and installation methodologies across LV/MV/HV.
• Experience pricing or procuring electrical works for large-scale infrastructure, utilities, renewables, substations or major construction projects.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, scopes of work and bills of quantities and translate these into accurate commercial pricing.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and supplier management skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work across multiple project stakeholders.
