Job summary

INTEC Energy Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a landmark utility-scale solar project in the Auckland region, overseeing EPC scope across construction, engineering, commercial, procurement and project controls.

Based in Australia, you will relocate to New Zealand with support for the transition, and collaborate with our Christchurch-based corporate project team to deliver safe, on-time and commercially strong outcomes.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience delivering power plant, renewable energy or major infrastructure projects.
• Proven PM on utility-scale solar projects; strong safety, programme, commercial and client outcomes.
• Strong leadership, with multi-disciplinary teams across construction, engineering, commercial and controls.
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen, including budgets, forecasting, subcontracts and change.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Fluent English and excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Utility-scale BESS experience is highly regarded, solar PV essential.

With a growing portfolio across Australia and New Zealand, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take overall leadership of a landmark utility-scale solar project in the Auckland region.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Australian Project Manager to step into a major international project, experience living and working in New Zealand, and make your mark on a project that will contribute to the country's renewable energy future.

Based in the Auckland region, you will maintain a strong presence across the project and site, working closely with the site delivery team and INTEC's Christchurch-based corporate project team. You will provide overall project leadership, bringing together construction, engineering, commercial, procurement and project controls to deliver outstanding project outcomes.

The Opportunity

This is more than a project management role. You will have end-to-end leadership of a major renewable energy project, working directly with the client and leading a multidisciplinary team through delivery.

You will:

• Take overall responsibility for the safe, successful and commercially strong delivery of a major utility-scale solar project.
• Lead and align the site-based delivery team and Christchurch corporate support functions, creating a high-performing and accountable project environment.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with the client, contractors, consultants and senior stakeholders, acting as the key project leadership interface.
• Drive project performance across programme, budget, forecasting, risk, change, subcontractor management and commercial outcomes.
• Ensure delivery meets contractual obligations, HSEQ requirements, regulatory standards and INTEC's project governance framework.

About You

You are an experienced EPC Project Manager with a strong track record delivering large-scale renewable energy or power infrastructure projects. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• At least 5 years' professional experience delivering power plant, renewable energy or major infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager on utility-scale solar power projects,
• A proven track record leading complex, high-value EPC projects from construction through to successful completion, with strong safety, programme, commercial and client outcomes.
• Strong leadership capability, with experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and working across construction, engineering, commercial, procurement and project controls.
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen, including experience managing budgets, forecasting, subcontractors, project risk and change within an EPC environment.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Fluent English, with excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Utility-scale BESS experience will be highly regarded, although strong solar PV experience is essential.
