Job summary

Northpower is seeking an Electrical Fitter to construct, install and maintain electrical equipment across substation and distribution environments in New Zealand. You will operate to regulatory standards with strong attention to detail and safety.

A tool of trade vehicle is supplied for work use only. The role requires EWRB registration as an Electrician and experience in substations or distribution networks, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team and to communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• A certificate in Electrical Engineering or currently pursuing one is advantageous.
• EWRB Registration as Electrician is required.
• Experience in substations (11kV–110kV) and/or distribution equipment (400V–11kV).

Responsibilities

• Construct, install and maintain electrical equipment in substation and distribution environments.
• Follow industry regulations and company standards.
• Keep accurate records and reports of all work.
• Exercise ownership of tasks with quality and accountability.
• Apply problem-solving to identify issues and implement safe solutions.
