Job summary

X Electrix Limited, Auckland-based electrical and HVAC contractor, seeks an Electrical Estimator to secure profitable tenders and build our developing estimating function. The role suits a trades-qualified electrician or an estimator with site delivery experience, eager to progress in preconstruction within a supportive team.

You will review drawings, prepare estimates, identify risks, gather pricing, and help shape budgets and processes for efficient tender outcomes.

Qualifications

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, scopes of work and tender documentation.
• Complete quantity take-offs and prepare labour, material, plant and subcontractor estimates.
• Identify missing scope, unclear information, coordination issues and commercial risks.
• Obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing and explore value-engineering opportunities.
• Prepare project budgets and detailed handovers for the Project Management team.
• Help improve estimating systems, digital workflows and preconstruction processes.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and tender documents.
