Job summary

Millennium Electrical Ltd in New Zealand seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to lead the estimating process on major infrastructure projects.

You will prepare detailed cost estimates, develop tender documents, and collaborate with engineers, suppliers and clients to ensure accurate, competitive bids and solid project handovers. 5+ years’ experience, strong MS Project and Simpro skills, and a disciplined, deadline-driven approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Estimator or QS.
• Strong background in electrical design and project scoping.
• Highly organised, adaptable, and deadline driven.
• Experience with reading electrical schematics and technical docs.
• Commercial risk management knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates from conception to detailed designs.
• Develop scope, design, and work-planning documentation.
• Complete and submit competitive project bid tenders.
• Produce Bill of Materials for Procurement.
• Create project handover documents detailing scope, allowances, exclusions, and risks.
• Scope, design, and price variation work as required.
• Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and clients.
