Job summary

Omexom New Zealand in Auckland (Albany) seeks a Project Planner and Coordinator to align project activities with Project Managers, customers, and design teams. The role focuses on safe, efficient methods and on coordinating resources to meet program requirements.

You will contribute to scoping, estimating, pricing, and reporting while supporting budget control and risk management across ground-mounted and underground distribution assets.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Electricity Distribution or related industry.
• EWRB Registration as Cable Jointer, Electrician or Line Mechanic/Lineman.
• Proven experience in distribution network construction and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate project activities with Project Managers, customers, design teams and technical staff.
• Develop and implement safe, efficient, and cost-effective work methods and procedures.
• Coordinate resources and project delivery to meet program requirements.
• Provide leadership, guidance and technical support to field teams.
• Assist with project scoping, estimating and pricing activities.
• Support project reporting, scope variations and claims.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks.
• Contribute to inspection, testing and commissioning documentation.
• Monitor project costs and support budget management.
• Ensure all work complies with contractual, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
