Omexom New Zealand in Silverdale is seeking a Connections Estimator to support electrical distribution projects. You will scope overhead lines up to 11kV, prepare tenders, and coordinate with customers, suppliers, and field staff to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Competenze

• Sound knowledge of Overhead and underground experience in the electrical distribution network up to 11kV.
• Relevant Distribution Network experience.
• Computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheets, databases and scheduling software.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Practical knowledge of Vector and Omexom design and engineering standards, and the ability to work within them.
• Solid problem-solving capabilities.
• Current NZEC Practising Licence.
• Experience in reading, understanding, and reviewing single line drawings and control schematics.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations, industry requirements, contracting procedures.

Mansioni

• Scoping overhead distribution lines (Low Voltage and High Voltage up to 11kV), and coming up with solutions for providing a point of supply to Customers.
• Meet with Customers and discuss their requirements for a point of supply
• Preparing tender/quotations to customers with client schedules and supplementary information, submitting tender documents and negotiating contracts prior to award.
• Collating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Compiling detailed requirements for tender: labour rates, project management, supervision, plant and equipment, preliminary and general, margin, preparing tags and clarifications.
• Ensuring that quotes are completed within agreed timeframes and within budgeted expenditure.
• Coordinating with customers, Omexom field staff, and sub-contractors to ensure project success.
• Compiling complete work packages, which include design notes, working drawings, specifications, material requirements, work instructions, resource requirements, work schedules, and all necessary approvals.
• Ensuring all documentation required by customers is completed, e.g., as-built drawings, asset records.
• Auditing works to ensure compliance with contract documents, design and construction standards, acts, regulations and network operating standards, industry standards, and safety requirements.
