Job summary

ATT is seeking a 2nd Year Electrical Apprentice to join our team in Hamilton, NZ. You will learn from qualified A-grade tradespeople while gaining hands-on experience across residential, commercial, and industrial projects, assisting with installations, maintenance, testing and repairs.

You will bring 2nd year progress, strong practical hand-tool skills, good numerical abilities, and a valid NZ driver’s license. Citizenship or permanent residency in NZ is required.

Qualifications

• Currently in 2nd year of electrical apprenticeship.
• Strong practical hand-tool skills and attention to detail.
• Numerical skills and foundational electrical knowledge are important.
• Must have a valid NZ driver’s license and reliable transport.
• NZ citizen or permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installations, routine maintenance, testing and repairs.
• Support on a range of residential, commercial and industrial projects.
• Work under supervision to gain hands-on experience on site.

Ready to take your electrical training to the next level? ATT are seeking a motivated 2nd Year Electrical Apprentice to join our team.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to sharpen your practical skills alongside qualified A-grade tradespeople. You will gain diverse, hands-on experience across a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial projects, assisting with installations, routine maintenance, testing, and system repairs.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• You are already in your 2nd year of an electrical apprenticeship, with transferable hands-on industry experience.
• An eye for detail, good practical hand-tool skills, and a strong foundational insight into the electrical trade.
• Strong numerical skills, ideally with at least NCEA Level 2 Maths (Physics is highly preferred).
• A rock-solid work ethic—punctual, dependable, and ready to work every single day.
• A valid driver’s licence (Restricted or Full) with reliable transport, a clean criminal record, and the ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screenings.
• You must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
