Job summary

ATT is seeking motivated electrical apprentices in Christchurch. You’ll join a hands-on program, earning a regular wage as you train, with progression as skills grow.

Candidates should be reliable, with some labouring or holiday-job experience and a strong aptitude for mathematics and physics. Applicants must have NZ residency or citizenship, a current driver’s licence, and be able to pass pre-employment drug tests.

Qualifications

• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
• Experience in labouring or holiday jobs is valued.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transport.
• Clean criminal record and ability to pass pre-employment drug tests.
• NZ permanent resident or citizen.
• Strong maths ability (NCEA Level 2) and preferably physics.
• Electrical pre-trade course or gateway placement is a plus (not mandatory).

We're looking for intelligent, hands-on candidates interested in Electrical apprenticeships in

You’ll need to:

• Be reliable - on time every time
• Have some job experience - whether that’s labouring experience, or holiday jobs
• Be good with your hands - you know how to use tools
• Have your driver’s license (Restricted or Full) with reliable transport to get to work
• Have a clean criminal record
• Be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests
• Be a NZ permanent resident or citizen
• Have an insight into the Electrical trade. Very good at math (at least NCEA L2) and preferably have studied physics. Maybe you have completed an electrical pre-trade course or have completed an Electrical gateway placement while at school (but this is not mandatory)
