Job summary

IntoWork is seeking a 2nd year electrical apprentice or a candidate with a pre-trade and practical experience for roles involving commercial and maintenance work. You should be reliable, punctual and hands-on, with a NZ driver’s license and a clean criminal record.

You will be supported as you progress through your apprenticeship with ATT style structured training, tool kit provision and PPE. The position is on-site in Hamilton, NZ, with wage progression as skills improve.

Qualifications

• Must be a 2nd year electrical apprentice or have a pre-trade with some job experience.
• Must have a valid NZ driver’s license and reliable transport to get to work.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests.
• Must be a NZ permanent resident or citizen.
• Must have completed an electrical pre-trade.

Responsibilities

• Be reliable and on time for work.
• Assist with electrical installations and maintenance tasks.
• Learn under supervision of experienced tradespeople.
• Attend on-the-job training and skill development.

We have an opportunity for a 2nd year electrical apprentice, or someone with a pre-trade with the right attitude, who is looking for a role that involves commercial and maintenance work.

You’ll need to:

• Be reliable – on time every time
• Be a 2nd year apprentice, or have a pre-trade with some job experience - whether that’s labouring experience, or holiday jobs
• Be good with your hands – you know how to use tools
• Have your driver’s license (Restricted or Full) with reliable transport to get to work
• Have a clean criminal record
• Be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests
• Be a NZ permanent resident or citizen
• Have completed an electrical pre-trade
