Start date: Term 1 15 January 2027
At Hobsonville Kindergarten, we believe every tamaiti is a taonga, bringing their own unique knowledge, experiences and strengths to our learning community.
Our philosophy is built on respect, equity, inclusion and strong relationships. We see tamariki as capable and confident learners, encouraging them to explore their interests, make decisions and take an active role in their learning.
Play is at the heart of everything we do. Our stimulating learning environment inspires curiosity, creativity, independence and a lifelong love of learning. We also place a strong emphasis on sustainability, connecting with nature and caring for the world around us.
Whānau are valued as partners in their children's learning, and we embrace a culturally inclusive environment where Te Tiriti o Waitangi and authentic bicultural practice are woven into everyday experiences.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified and registered ECE Kaiako to join our friendly and collaborative team in a permanent, part‑time position.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a kaiako who enjoys creating meaningful learning experiences, building strong relationships with tamariki and whānau, and contributing to a positive and inclusive kindergarten culture.
You'll work alongside a supportive team who value shared ideas, open communication and working together to provide the best possible outcomes for tamariki.
We're looking for someone who brings warmth, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
Most importantly, you'll enjoy getting involved, having fun and creating memorable learning experiences with tamariki.
With 112 kindergartens and KiNZ centres, we're committed to creating inclusive learning environments grounded in Te Whāriki and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
We offer a supportive teaching community, opportunities for professional growth and employment conditions aligned with the Kindergarten Teachers, Head Teachers, and Senior Teachers' Collective Agreement 2023-2026.
We encourage interested applicants to visit Hobsonville Kindergarten and experience our learning environment firsthand. Please contact the kindergarten ahead of time to arrange a visit.
