Job summary

AKA Hobsonville Kindergarten is seeking a passionate, qualified and registered ECE Kaiako for a permanent, part-time role (20 hours per week, Monday to Friday). Start date: term 1, 15 January 2027. Join a collaborative team and support tamariki to learn through play in a culturally inclusive environment.

You will work with a supportive team, contributing to sustainable practices and positive outcomes for children, families, and the wider learning community.

Qualifications

• Recognised ECE teaching qualification and current practising certificate.
• First aid certificate is required.
• Commitment to child-led, play-based learning.
• Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues.
• Comfort with planning, assessing and documenting children's learning.

Responsibilities

• Create meaningful learning experiences in a kindergarten setting.
• Foster strong relationships with tamariki and whānau to support learning.
• Plan, assess and document each child’s progress and learning goals.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to provide inclusive learning outcomes.
