Job summary

Busy Bees Whau Valley is looking for a Centre Administrator to be the welcoming face of our centre. You’ll provide essential support to our kaiako, whānau, and the Centre Manager while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the centre.

As part of the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau, you’ll enjoy the support and stability of a trusted national network while working within a caring, close-knit team. This is a part-time, on-site role in Whau Valley with regular hours and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Administration experience in an ECE or dispersed service
• High attention to detail, confidentiality and accuracy
• Warm, professional communication with families and visitors
• Strong initiative and time management in a busy setting
• Tech‑savvy; comfortable with MS Office and learning new systems
• Understanding of ECE legislation, 20 hours ECE or WINZ subsidies (advantage)

Responsibilities

• Manage new enrolments and keep Child Management System accurate
• Be the welcoming first point of contact for admin queries
• Build strong relationships with parents and whānau
• Handle invoicing, parent payments and debtor follow‑up per centre policy
• Support families with WINZ applications and subsidies
• Reconcile staff timesheets to assist payroll
• Coordinate information between centre and Support Office
• Assist Centre Manager with admin and health & safety records
