Job summary

Busy Bees Aotearoa is seeking a Centre Manager for Busy Bees Gladstone Road. You will lead a centre team to deliver high-quality early learning, ensure compliance, and drive financial performance.

With support from regional leadership, you’ll mentor kaiako, manage enrolments and rosters, and foster strong community ties. Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa, and hold a NZQA-approved ECE qualification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or NZQA approved equivalent.
• Experience leading in the ECE sector with coaching mindset.
• Knowledge of Te Whāriki, MOE regs, Licensing Criteria, Teaching Council requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead centre performance and build a high-performing team.
• Deliver quality care and education focusing on compliance and financial results.
• Mentor kaiako through growth cycles and 1:1 discussions.
• Implement centre-specific strategic plans and curriculum evaluations.
• Manage occupancy, enrolments and rosters to meet targets.
• Build strong community connections and represent the centre publicly.
• Apply Te Tiriti Waitangi principles in daily operations.

• Hold aBachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or an equivalent NZQA approved qualification and current teacher registration.
• Bring proven experience in a leadership role within the ECE sector with a passion for coaching and mentoring staff.
• Possess in-depth knowledge ofTeWhāriki, MOE Regulations, Licensing Criteria, and Teaching Council requirements.
• Experienceworking with childcare management software and an understanding of enrolments, rosters, and occupancy targets.
