Job summary

Barnardos Oamaru Early Learning Centre is seeking an Early Learning Centre Manager to lead an established ELC. This role blends hands-on teaching with strategic management to create a thriving learning environment for tamariki.

We invite candidates with an ECE qualification and leadership experience to inspire our dedicated team, foster strong whānau relationships, and uphold Te Whāriki principles in a dynamic Otago setting.

Qualifications

• ECE qualification (Bachelor or Diploma) with full certification.
• Proven experience in early childhood education and managerial/leadership roles.
• Ability to foster meaningful connections and build high-trust relationships.
• Inspirational leadership advocating for tamariki and whānau.
• Familiarity with Te Whāriki and commitment to high-quality practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
