Job summary

Barnardos Early Learning Centre Hastings in Hastings is seeking a confident leader to manage and inspire an established ECE team. You will motivate, coach, and support your staff while delivering high-quality tamariki learning experiences.

Role blends strategic management with hands-on teaching, supporting te ao Māori and te whānau, and maintaining strong connections with the local community. The position is full-time and permanent, located on site in Hawke's Bay.

Qualifications

• ECE qualification with full teacher certification.
• Experience as Centre Manager or substantial leadership role.
• Strong understanding of Te Whāriki and curriculum leadership.
• Excellent administration, planning, and organisational skills.
• Experience in performance management, staff development, and mentoring.
• Sound operational and financial management skills.
• Experience working in culturally diverse communities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
