Job summary

EVT Group in Auckland is seeking a Duty Manager to coordinate hotel operations on shift, focusing on Front Office, security and profitability. You will be the face of the hotel, resolving guest requests and ensuring safety and smooth running of staff and guests.

You will lead a team, supervise rostering, training, and respond to crises with WH&S compliance. This role offers strong career growth within EVT's network across entertainment and hospitality experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Front Office or hotel supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Commercial awareness of room rates, yield management and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations on shift and ensure smooth running across departments.
• Greet guests professionally and manage VIP/group arrivals as the face of the hotel.
• Manage the guest complaint system and resolve requests promptly and professionally.
• Maximise average room rate and occupancy through yield management and cross-department liaison.
• Direct and supervise Front Office staff, supporting training, rostering and development.
• Lead the hotel through crises, ensuring security and WH&S compliance at all times.
