Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island – Te Kauwhata, North Island is seeking a motivated Duty Manager to lead the store’s day-to-day operations, motivate staff, ensure excellent customer service and product availability in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time role with shifts including one weekend day, offering opportunities to develop your skills and grow within the business in a supportive team. Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a supermarket team at a senior level.
• Proven ability to maintain stock availability and high service standards.
• A demonstrated track record of effective delegation and follow-up.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Duty Managerto join our team and play a key role in the day-to-day running of our store. You’lllead and motivate our team, ensure excellent customer service and productavailability, and confidently manage changing priorities in a fast-pacedenvironment.

This is a Full-time position, with shifts including oneweekend day.

About the role

• Use your skills and experience to delegate andmotivate staff to deliver the service and products our customer's demand.
• React and adjust quickly to changing conditionsand priorities, to make effective, calculated and practical decisions
• Ensure adherence with procedures to comply withrelevant legislation

What We’re Looking For

Our preference is for someone with existing experience inSupermarkets at a senior level. However, we are open to a candidate withexperience leading a team in a volume-centered retail environment or similarindustry with responsibility for stock availability as well as levels ofcustomer service.

• Aleader that is passionate about people, and has the proven ability toprioritise and achieve multiple objectives, while maintaining a calm,controlled and pleasant environment that fosters team development andgrowth
• Resilient,adaptable and able to manage conflict fairly
• AProven record of effective delegation, with close follow-up of standardsand timeframes
• Provenexperience with making effective and calculated decisions
• Anexceptional customer service champion
• Experienceworking within multiple supermarket departments preferred
• Physicallyfit, and able to fulfil the requirements of the role – heavy lifting isrequired
