Job summary

Downer in Otago is seeking an experienced Class 5 Driver Operator to join our team in Dunedin. You'll be part of a tight-knit crew delivering essential road maintenance and renewal work across the region.

As a skilled operator you will safely drive and operate heavy equipment, including trucks with trailers, loaders, excavators, and rollers. A full Class 5 licence is essential, with WTR endorsements preferred; a strong commitment to health and safety and the ability to work outdoors are

Qualifications

• WTR endorsements preferred but not essential.
• Good spatial awareness and confidence manoeuvring in tight or active work sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery including trucks with trailers, loaders, excavators and rollers to support road maintenance activities.
• Work as part of a crew across multiple projects throughout the Otago region.
• Adhere to safety policies and quality standards while delivering reliable outcomes.

We are looking for an experienced Class 5 Driver Operator to join our team in Otago. You'll be part of a tight-knit crew, working across a variety of construction, renewal, and maintenance projects throughout the region.

As a skilled operator, you will safely operate, navigate, and care for heavy machinery. Your day-to-day will include operation of machinery including loaders, excavators, and rollers to support road maintenance activities works.

You will be a reliable, safety-focused operator who takes pride in your work. You'll also bring:
