Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a reliable Driver to operate a Hook truck and trailer in the Kapiti region. You will maintain accurate records, perform daily vehicle safety checks, and contribute to a safe, high-quality haulage service.

You will work in a team and independently, bringing strong communication and customer service to the role. The position offers permanent, full-time hours in a stable industry with ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 NZ Driver's Licence.
• Proven heavy vehicle driving experience.
• Solid understanding of vehicle safety, maintenance and fatigue management.
• Strong attention to detail and good record keeping.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to carry out daily checks and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Hook truck and trailer to ensure safe, timely haulage.

About the role As a Driver, you will be responsible for operating a Hook truck and trailer and equipment on board to ensure a safe and timely haulage service in the Kapiti Region. You'll also be required to keep accurate records and paperwork and undertake vehicle safety checks.
