Job summary

Orion is seeking a Programme Manager (Distribution) to lead the programming, design coordination and delivery support of critical distribution works across our network in Canterbury. You will collaborate with engineering, delivery, asset management, procurement and external stakeholders to drive major infrastructure projects from concept through completion.

You'll play a key role in reinforcing or undergrounding networks, relocations and growth-related initiatives while ensuring scope, budget,

Qualifications

• Experience in electricity distribution, utilities or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong knowledge of distribution assets (switchgear, transformers, cables).
• Proven programme or project coordination experience across complex works.

Responsibilities

• Lead scoping, design coordination and delivery support of distribution network projects.
• Manage replacement, reinforcement, undergrounding, relocation, and growth-related works from concept to completion.
• Support delivery teams to meet scope, budget, timeline and quality expectations.
• Build relationships with councils, utilities, contractors, developers and internal teams to keep projects progressing.
• Provide technical advice and coordination across a range of distribution projects and network initiatives.
• Contribute to asset management and continuous improvement for future network needs.
